Hex Tap Bolts
Hex tap bolts, commonly called hex head cap screws, are bolts that contain a hexagonal head with the remainder of the bolt fully threaded. The length of hex tap bolts is measured from the bottom of the hex head to the end of the threads.

Two flat washers and one hex nut of the same size and finish are typically needed for use with each hex tap bolt (sold separately). Installation requires that two wrenches be used, as one is needed to hold the hex head in place, while the other tightens the hex nut.
